A 10-year-old was threatened with a knife during an assault.

The incident happened on June 25 between 4pm and 6pm on Pye Street in Faringdon.

During the assault the victim, a 10-year-old boy, was threatened with a knife and sustained a cut to his leg.

Thames Valley Police has said that a young man was subsequently arrested for possession of a bladed article and assault following the incident. 

The force is now appealing for a woman who intervened in the assault to come forward and speak with police.

A Thames Valley Police said: “If anyone else was in the area and witnessed anything then please do call in.

“Please quote reference number 43220308077.”
