Two people are in hospital after a crash involving two cars during the rush hour.

Crews from Abingdon Fire Station and Wallingford Fire Station scrambled to the scene of a crash on the A4074 Dorchester By-Pass at 7am this morning.

The teams from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue were also joined by South Central Ambulance Service and Thames Valley Police at the incident.

Earlier today, the Oxford Mail reported that the road was closed while emergency crews worked at the scene.

A photograph taken at the scene shows a small blue car dented and located on the side of the road.  

Two people involved in the crash were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

An Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “Thank you to the various civilians who assisted on scene prior to emergency service arrival.”
