Oxford University Development staff are inviting residents from Yarnton, Begbroke and Kidlington to meet the design team for its proposed 190-hectare innovation district at Begbroke Science Park - which could include 2,000 new homes.

OUD plans to deliver a world class mixed-use neighbourhood around Begbroke Science Park.

The new district will seek to attract the best minds while driving economic growth, improving transport connections, delivering new housing and other benefits for local people, as well as enhancing the surrounding natural landscape.

The site will provide an exemplary new setting for the university’s world-leading science and innovation, which will help address key global challenges facing humanity - from food security and biodiversity to climate change and the urgent need to move to a zero-carbon economy alongside seeking to reduce health inequity.

The project also proposes to create a community of up to 2,000 quality homes, with new schools, public parks and nature reserve.

A series of drop-in sessions will enable residents to find out more, meet the team behind the project, and share ideas and thoughts at this very early stage of design development.
