A public consultation has opened to invite any queries around a proposal to deliver a new public park.

Bicester Village is bringing forward proposals for a new publicly accessible green space - which it’s calling St Edburg’s Park – to be created to the north of Bicester Village.

Bicester Village said the new landscaped park will be a community asset for all to enjoy, whilst improving and creating new connections with Bicester Town Centre.

The retail company stated the development could deliver new and improved pedestrian routes, connecting Bicester Village to the local area, with new footpaths that feature throughout the proposed park.

The proposal could also enhance existing cycle routes to facilitate safer cycling in the area.

In addition to a park, Bicester Village’s proposal also includes an ‘electric vehicle ready’ car and cycle hub.

In which all car spaces are designed to have EV-charging points, and hundreds of new cycle spaces will be provided for staff and visitors to Bicester Village.

The developer also claims that the hub will reduce both offsite traffic congestion and parking requirements.

The public consultation opened today and will remain open until Thursday, July 21.

Additionally, two public exhibitions will take place at the John Paul II Centre, Webb Court, in Bicester, where attendees can meet the project team, ask questions and provide feedback about the proposals.

One on Saturday, July 2 from 11am to 3pm, and another on Thursday, July 7 from 4pm to 8pm.
