A group of five accused of murdering Keith Green on the eve of Valentine’s Day will appear before Oxford Crown Court later today.

The 40-year-old was fatally stabbed in his back garden in Howard Road, Banbury, on February 13.

Prosecutors say the alleged victim’s partner Louise Grieve, 38, acted in concert with the men accused of carrying out the stabbing - Mark Meadows, 25, and Travis Gorton, 20.

Grieve, of Howard Road, Banbury, Meadows, of Rees Court, Banbury, Gorton, of Well Bank, Hook Norton, Grieve’s son Callum Johnson, 20, of Howard Road, Banbury, and a teenage girl who cannot be named as she is under-18 face charges of murder.

Meadows and Gorton also face an allegation of possession of a bladed article, a large ‘hunting knife’ style weapon.

The five defendants are due before Oxford Crown Court at 12.15pm today for an adjourned plea and trial preparation hearing.

Recorder of Oxford Judge Ian Pringle QC has already fixed their trial date for September 12.
