A man will stand trial accused of assaulting two police officers in Oxford.
Adrian Hughes, 43, of no fixed address, appeared before Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday morning facing two charges of assaulting an emergency worker by beating them. He pleaded not guilty to both counts.

Prosecutors claim Hughes assaulted the constables in Oxford on April 8 as they went to detain him.
District Judge Kamlesh Rana fixed the trial for August 15 and remanded Hughes, who appeared in court via video link from HMP Bullingdon, into custody.
The trial is expected to last around three hours, the solicitors agreed.
Adam Khan appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service. The defendant was represented by Alice Dodd.
