TWO teenagers have been arrested after a man was pushed to the floor in Oxford city centre and kicked in the head.

The man, who is in his 20s, was so badly hurt he had to go to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment.

The attack happened during a fight between two groups of males on St Aldates (close to Blue Boar Street) at 4.20am on April 24.

On June 8, police investigators released images of three men they wanted to speak to.

Now one of the men has been identified they are still looking for the other two.

Since the appeal for information two boys have also been arrested.

One of them, a 17-year-old boy from Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and affray.

The second, an 18-year-old man from Oxford was arrested on suspicion of affray.

Both have been released on bail until July 18.

Detective Constable Dan Hayward, of Oxford CID, said: “I would like to appeal to anybody who recognises the men in these images to please get in touch as I believe they may have information in connection with this incident.

“Anyone else with information about the incident who has not already contacted us should also do so.

“Alternatively, you can provide information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
