An Audi driver had their vehicle seized by they travelled at speeds described by police as “warp factor 9”.

The black Audi was spotted by Thames Valley Police officers in Blackbird Leys, driving at such high speeds that they likened it to the Star Trek measurement for warp speed.

The vehicle was stopped by police and the driver was unable to produce information relating to their insurance, vehicle tax, MOT, or driving licence.

Police seized the vehicle and the driver was reported.

In Star Trek lore, warp speed 9 is 729 times the speed of light, equivalent to 488,879,522,821 miles per hour.
