GLADYS WARERU, 43, of Goldhawk Road, Shepherds Bush, pleaded guilty to drink driving a Peugeot 3008 on Park End Street on January 16. She had 59mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35. She was fined £300, banned from the roads for 16 months and ordered to pay £534 in costs and surcharge.

SIMON FOX, 53, of Bridle Close, Melton Mowbray, admitted drink driving a BMW X1 on the A34 northbound near Wendlebury on December 5 last year. Tests showed he had 148 milligrammes of alcohol in 100ml of blood. The legal limit is 80. The magistrates fined him £200, banned him from the road for a year and a half and ordered he pay £119 in costs and surcharge.

RICKY RYAN, 37, of no fixed address, was found guilty of using threatening behaviour towards two women in Stockham Way, Wantage, on April 6. He was cleared of other offences, including harassment and criminal damage. The magistrates sentenced Ryan to eight weeks’ imprisonment, ordered he pay £50 and imposed a two year restraining order banning him from contacting one of his victims or going to a property in Stockham Way.

WAYNE THORNHILL, 51, of Portway, Didcot, admitted driving a Ford Transit in Rowstock on December 6 last year while over the cannabis drug-driving limit. He was fined £100, banned from the roads for a year and must pay £119 in costs and surcharge.

STEPHEN WICKEL, 45, of Vineyard, Abingdon, admitted assaulting a man in a neighbouring flat on April 26. He was given a 12 month conditional discharge and must pay £107 in costs and surcharge.

MOUSSA ADOUM, 39, of Whitehouse Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to possession of a ‘Taser’ style weapon, designed for the discharge of an electrical charge. He had the weapon in Oxford on May 14 last year. The magistrates sentenced him to 20 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for a year and a half. He must complete a 12-month alcohol treatment requirement. He was also convicted of racially-aggravated threatening behaviour in Botley Road on May 6 last year, which was committed while subject to a community order. He was ordered to pay £50 compensation and given a three year Criminal Behaviour Order banning him from the Cowley Road Sainsbury’s, ‘giving the appearance of begging’ or having an open container of alcohol in any public place.

MOLLY LIPTROT, 19, of Marston Road, Oxford, was given a community order with a six month alcohol treatment requirement after she admitted going to the Westgate shopping centre in April in breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order. She must pay a £95 victim surcharge.

ROBERT SMIALEK, 41, of Cowley Road, Oxford, was given a community order with a nine month alcohol treatment requirement and 140 hours of unpaid work for assaulting a police officer in Oxford in February. He must pay £95 in compensation.

MORGAN BROWN, 23, of Vigo Terrace, Walsall, was banned from the roads for six months after he was found guilty of failing to give police information about who was driving a personalised-plate Range Rover when it was snapped speeding on the M40. The 4x4, which had the number plate MOR9S, was caught doing 93mph on the M40 near Great Milton on October 1 last year. The speeding offence was withdrawn but Brown, who was dealt with by a single magistrate deciding the matter on the case papers alone, was found to have failed to respond to requests by Thames Valley Police that he identify the driver of the Range Rover. He was banned from the roads for six months, having ‘totted up’ 12 penalty points. He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £156 in costs and surcharge.

JASON BOURTON, 42, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol worth £66 from Tesco on March 16. He was give seven days’ imprisonment.

ELLA WILLIAMS, 25, of Longfields, Bicester, pleaded guilty to drug driving a Fiat 500 on Banbury Road, Bicester, last November. Tests showed she had cannabis, cocaine and derivative benzoylecgonine in her blood. She was fined £300, banned from driving for 16 months and must pay £119 in costs and surcharge.

LUKE KEELER, 27, of Green Close, Steventon, admitted driving a Ford Fiesta on Drayton Road, Sutton Courtenay, without due care and attention on April 29 this year. He was fined £500, banned from driving for half a year and must pay £135 in costs and surcharge.
