A police car reportedly on an emergency callout hit a vehicle.
An onlooker said the police car hit a van.
The incident happened this afternoon on Cowley Road near the junction of Marsh Road.
Police closed off the road in both directions following the smash.
Pictures show the police car visibly damaged at the front. It was loaded on to a rescue truck.
An eyewitness said no one was hurt.
Traffic is at a standstill.
