Alice's Day - a celebration of Alice in Wonderland in Oxford - is back.

Last year marked the 150th anniversary of the publication of Lewis Carroll’s Alice Through The Looking Glass, with a range of events laid on for the day.

A giant Alice puppet dominated Oxford city centre as people came together to celebrate a major anniversary.

The annual celebration is organised by staff at The Story Museum and this year takes place on Saturday, July 2.

Visitors can take a seat at a mad tea party on Broad Street, presented by the Oxford Festival of the Arts and Fairtrade at St Michael's, play party games with giant Alice and her amazing talking flowers, get their toes tapping with a dance workshop from Oxford Lindy Hoppers or join local author and historian, Mark Davies on a riverside walk.

Oxford Mail:

There will also be plenty to enjoy at The Story Museum with storytelling from Drag Queens and Kings, and master storyteller, Peter Chand, as well as an entrancing Red Queen, lots of lovely crafts and the magical Talking Throne.

And children can get in free in the museum’s Galleries and Small Worlds throughout the day.
