A supermarket is set to remain closed for another month for extensive building work.

The Coop food store on Basset Avenue in Bicester has been closed since June 14 and it is not set to reopen until July 23.

The post office in the shop will also be closed for refurbishment.

Alternative coop stores nearby include Buckingham Road, Unit 1 Audley House and 4 Barberry Place in Bicester.

On the Bicester Chat community Facebook group residents commented on the inconvenience and lack of post offices in the area.

On a sign outside the shop, it states: “We apologise for any inconvenience and would like to thank our members and customers for your support.”
