A new Chinese takeaway restaurant has opened up on Cowley Road.

Oodles Chinese opened its doors earlier this month at 209A Cowley Road with an extravagant opening day, which saw a queue stretch down the road.

The serves Indo Chinese food such as egg fried rice, Thai chicken curry and Schezuan beef stir fry.

Oodles Chinese uses a box concept where customers pick their size and then fill it up with the bases and main options of their choice.

A small box is £7.99, a medium box is £8.99 and the large is £9.49.

Alongside the boxes, there are also sides such as fortune cookies, torpedo prawns and Chinese wok wings to choose from.

The brand was launched in March 2010 by Mohammed Umar.

Mr Umar, along with his brother Ismail, aimed to ‘provide a casual dining experience that is very different to the meals being served by conventional takeaway restaurants’.

A spokesperson for Oodles Chinese said: “We have become synonymous with providing freshly-cooked, amazing tasting and authentic food focused on a customer-led experience.

“Blending our own secret recipes with Indo Chinese inspired fusion, our aim is to provide the best food products at the best value for money.

Oodles Chinese at 209A Cowley Road is open 11am to 11pm Monday to Sunday.
