A MAN reached up a woman’s dress and grabbed her bottom during a sexual assault in Oxford city centre at the weekend.

The incident occurred at about 3.40am outside Paperchase in Queen Street, on Saturday, with Thames Valley Police appealing for witnesses.

The victim, a woman in her twenties, was standing with two other people when a man walked past, reached up her dress and grabbed her bottom, before walking away.

The offender is described as a white man, aged approximately 35, between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build.

He had messy, mousey brown hair, pushed over to one side, and was wearing a pale pink polo top with a collar, dark trousers and trainers.

Investigating officer, PC Ella Stilwell, based at Oxford police station, said: “I would like to appeal to anybody who may have been in this area during this time or driving past and witnessed anything, or have dash cam footage, to please get in touch.

“You can do so by either making a report online or by calling 101 quoting reference number 43220266701.

“Alternatively, for 100 per cent anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
