PORTABLE loos are set to temporarily replace ladies’ public toilets in Oxford city centre after part of a ceiling collapsed.
While the gents’ toilets in Market Street have been able to reopen, the ladies’ toilets remain closed due to the unsafe ceiling.
Oxford City Council will now install portable toilets for the time being.

The bank of four portable loos will be installed tomorrow, in the loading bays in Market Street. The toilets will be operational from Wednesday.
The portable loos will be in place until the ceiling in the public toilets has been repaired and the facility can reopen, a council statement read.
The council hopes that the ladies’ public toilets will reopen in July.
