A driver was arrested by police after failing a breath test.

The vehicle was stopped by Thames Valley Police officers after they spotted it driving ‘erratically’ between junctions 4 (Handy Cross) and 5  (Stokenchurch Interchange) yesterday afternoon (June 18).

Police performed a roadside breath test, which the driver failed and was arrested.

Document checks performed by the officers subsequently revealed the driver only held a bike licence and had no insurance.

The vehicle was seized by officers.

If you are found guilty of drink-driving you could be imprisoned, banned from driving and face a fine.

If you are in charge of a vehicle while above the legal limit or unfit through drink you may get:

  • 3 months’ imprisonment
  • up to £2,500 fine
  • a possible driving ban
