A THERAPY cat that helped a woman suffering from anxiety has gone missing.
Doris, a two-year-old tortoiseshell cat, was last seen on Templar Road in Cutteslowe at 2pm on Monday (June 6).
She is microchipped and wearing a pink collar with a name tag.
Her owner Daisy Straughan, 20, said: “I suffer from anxiety and Asperger's and I usually take her a few places with me, so on Monday I took her to visit my nan.
“She escaped into the garden and we are unable to locate her. She usually has a collar with a tracker on but unfortunately she lost it. She is constantly with me and doesn’t leave my side.
“We are just worried because she doesn’t know the area my grandparents live in. About an hour after she went missing we could her meowing, so I believe she has not gone far.
“I have been through a lot recently after my nan and our previous two cats Pepsi and Max passing, so Doris means the world to me, she has helped me so much and I don’t know what I’d do without her.
“I feel more comfortable to go out when she is around and I have a massive bond with her.”
