A man has appeared in court accused of trying to torch a south Oxfordshire pharmaceutical firm.
Daniel Matyi, 30, is accused of arson with intent to endanger life at Ipsen Biosciences Ltd in Park Drive, Milton, on May 8.
He also faces an allegation of attempted criminal damage on the same business a few hours earlier on the same date.
Matyi, of Wessex Road, Didcot, appeared before Oxford Crown Court on Thursday morning. He was not asked to enter pleas to the charges as he had no lawyer and there was no interpreter available.
Judge Maria Lamb granted him conditional bail to return to court on June 23 for a plea hearing.
“If you don’t come back to this court at 10am on June 23 then you will find a bench warrant application [for your arrest] is made for you to be remanded in custody,” she said.
