Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper has been nominated for a National Television Award in the expert category.

The young farmer, who shot to worldwide fame after teaching Jeremy Clarkson how to 'tractor', is up against Sir David Attenborough, Gordon Ramsay, Lord Sugar and Dame Prue Leith.

And the Amazon Prime show itself is nominated in the Factual Entertainment category.

The ceremony, dubbed TV's 'biggest night of the year', lets the public vote for their favourite programmes and their stars, with millions of votes cast.

Mr Cooper, who has more followers on Instagram than many Hollywood A-listers, seemed slightly bemused by his nomination.

In a video posted to Instagram, he seemed not to know exactly what an NTA is.

And he found it hard to believe what was happening: "I mean, I know who my vote goes to straight away, which is the best of all, Sir David Attenborough."

The National Television Awards take place at the OVO Arena Wembley in September hosted by comedian Joel Dommett.
