Chair of the festival committee Eric Marshall said: "Headliners EMF are in the middle of a 2022 tour which is taking them all over the UK so they will be on form by the time they hit Witney."

Hook Norton Brewery has stepped in to sponsor the event in place of Wychwood Brewery which withdrew its backing after five years after being taken over by Carlsberg.

Organisers, who revealed they have already had to invest their own money to keep the event afloat, faced a major headache as businesses struggling on the back of the pandemic, were not able to help.

But a plea to the public to buy tickets in advance to meet upfront costs also resulted in an incredible response, with organisers now expecting a capacity crowd.

Chair of the committee Eric Marshall said: "Things are going well - we are truly humbled by the support of the community as they get behind their local festival."

As  well as music there will be Hatwell Brothers fairground amusements and Hook Norton Brewery bar and food stalls.

Organisers added: "Forecast SUN."
