As well as a game-changing music career, Jones is also well-known for appearing in the 1985 James Bond movie A View to a Kill, as the character of May Day.

A spokesperson for KITE Festival said: “If you were asked to picture a cultural icon, the image of Grace Jones’ album cover for Island Life is probably one of the first things that would come to mind.

“There are few artists that can claim to have had more influence over popular culture in the last fifty years than she has.

The epitome of a renaissance woman, Grace Jones continues to break conventions and defy expectations after almost fifty years on the cutting edge of western culture.”

Alongside Grace Jones, KITE Festival will also names such as TLC, Bimini Bon Boulash and Delia Smith.

KITE will take place at Kirtlington Park, Akeman Street, Kidlington, OX5 3JL.

The festival will take place between June 10 and 12.

The campsite will be open to camping ticket holders from 3pm on June 10 and close at 11am on June 13.
