A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life following an incident in the early hours of this morning.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police (TVP) confirmed that the force, alongside Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, were called to a fire at a property in Becket Street, Oxford, shortly after 3am.

The TVP spokesperson added: “No one was hurt but all of the occupants were evacuated by the fire service while police officers closed the road, which reopened at around 4.45am.
“A 34-year-old man from Oxford was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life – he remains in police custody.
“Officers are investigating the incident in partnership with the fire service and urge anyone with information to call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43220235471.
“Alternatively, contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
