Diners at Oxfordshire restaurants have been ordered to pay hundreds after leaving without paying for their food.

These are all the people to appear in court after allegedly not paying for their food.

Chloe Maughan, 19 of Lenthal Road in Oxford pleaded guilty at Oxford Magistrate’s Court on May 17, to ‘making off without payment’.

Magistrates heard that on August 5, 2021, Maughan dined at Victors Restaurant in Westgate on Queens Street in Oxford and left without paying a £286.26 bill.

The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into consideration when imposing a sentence. She was fined £80 and ordered to pay compensation of £71.50 and a surcharge of £34. The total Maughan has been ordered to pay totals £265.50.

Anne Caroline Mahon of The Beaches in Woodley, Reading also appeared in Oxford Magistrate’s Court on May 17.

Mahon also pleaded guilty to leaving Victors Restaurant without paying a £286.26 bill.

The defendant was fined £120 and ordered to pay compensation of £71.50 and a surcharge of £34 totalling £225.50.

Leigh Clarke, 30 of Well Lane in Curbridge, Witney was set to appear at Oxford Crown Court on May 26.

The defendant has allegedly left a restaurant in Caterton without paying for food and drink costing £69.05. The defendant has been ordered to not enter Aangon Restaurant in Carteron to avoid reoffending.
