A motorcyclist has been seriously injured following a crash.

The 25-year-old was riding a black Yamaha R1 motorcycle in a convoy with others when he came off his bike and collided with roadside furniture.

The incident happened at around 7.10pm last night (25/5) on the A44 near to the Duke of Marlborough pub in Woodstock.

The man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he remains.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.

Investigating officer PC Liam Calvert of the Joint Operations Road Policing Unit, based at Bicester, said: “This collision took place on a busy road in the early evening, and I am appealing to anybody who witnessed what happened to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“I would urge anybody who may have dash-cam footage of the collision, or the moments leading up to the collision, to please contact us if it has captured anything that could assist this investigation.
