POLICE are investigating sex attacks on five girls at an Oxfordshire fun fair.

Thames Valley Police confirmed officers are investigating reports of five children being sexually assaulted on Friday night at Witney Fair. 

The incidents happened at around 10pm when the girls were at Hatwells Funfair which was held on the Leys.

The girls are alleged to have been attacked by ‘a group of guys’.

An anonymous poster wrote on Facebook: "To the vile group of guys who made multiple girls feel uncomfortable at the fair last night, congratulations. You’ve now traumatised [them] and I really hope you learn the hard way.

"Touching girls inappropriately and making them feel uncomfortable when they’re meant for be having fun. it’s WRONG. They are literally destroying girls lives and I don’t understand how this group of guys are getting away with it."

Officers at Thames Valley Police are now investigating.

A spokesman said: "Thames Valley Police is investigating a report of five girls being sexually assaulted at around 9.45pm on Friday (20/5) at Witney Fair.

"Anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference number 43220220899."
