These BMW drivers have been fined by Oxford's Magistrates Court this year for failing to provide driver details.
JORDAN WARNER, 28, of Harlow, Essex, was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver of a BMW between May 24 and June 22 2021 in Banbury. He was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £90 and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
VIJAYSEELAN VIJAYAKUMAR, 22, of Stoney Stanton Road, Coventry, was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver of a BMW between July 9 and August 6 2021 in Banbury. He was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £90 and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
Amjad HUSSAIN, 41, of Rutland Avenue, High Wycombe, was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver of a BMW between May 28 and June 25 2021 in Banbury. He was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £90. His driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points, leading to obligatory disqualification for six months.
STEVEN LAWRENCE SMITH, 47, of Bourne End, Bucks, was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver of a BMW between October 4 and November 1 2021 in Banbury. He was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £90 and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
JAMES HOWELL, 50, of Aylesbury, Bucks, was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver of a BMW between September 14 and October 12 2021 in Banbury. He was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £90 and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
MOHEIT WALIA, 39, of Woodley, Reading, Wokingham, was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver of a BMW between August 25 and September 22 2021 in Banbury. He was fined £660 and must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £90 and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
- Update on Moheit Walia case: At the time of publication (May 25, 2022) this information was correct as provided by the courts. Following publication, the case was re-opened and the conviction set aside. Following a review, the offence charge was withdrawn at the request of the police at a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on June 30, 2022. We are happy to clarify the record.
