A MAN who hurled abuse at staff in a pharmacy has been sentenced to two weeks in prison.
Wayne Ronald Axtell, 39 of Cecil Sharp Place in Oxford appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on December 17, 2021.
Axtell pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive and insulting words, and behaviour with the intent of provoking unlawful violence.

Magistrates heard that on November 9, 2021, Axtell abused two members of staff in the Boots in Headington.
The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into consideration when imposing a sentence.

However, he was committed to prison for 14 days because the offence was deemed to be so serious due to the “nasty and serious stress caused to the staff”.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £100 to the courts by June 3, 2022.
