Six people were taken to hospital after they were attacked in a park.

A group of six people were attacked on the edge of Betjeman Park, Mill Street in Wantage, at 2.15am on Saturday 14.

The victims, a mix of men and women, aged in their twenties, were assaulted by another group of people.

Each of the victims required hospital treatment and were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, they have all since been discharged.

The offenders are described as a group made up of men and women, aged in their late twenties.

Investigating officer, PC Lee Butler, based at Wantage police station, said: “I would like to appeal to anybody who may have been in this area during this time and may have dash-cam footage, CCTV or may have witnessed anything to please get in touch.”
