A MAN who stole more than £600 worth of electronics from John Lewis has been ordered to pay £180.

Hendrick Delagrange, 39 of West Street in Banbury appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on January 17 after stealing three speakers from the department store John Lewis in Solihull in the West Midlands on November 9, 2021.

Delagrange pleaded guilty to stealing £607 worth of electronics.

The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into consideration when imposing a sentence.

Delagrange was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and costs of £85, totalling £180 to pay.

In addition, the defendant was ordered to have treatment for drug dependency by or under the direction of Turning Point at Banbury as a non-resident for 9 months.
