Police have arrested a man on suspicion of handling stolen goods, after two dogs, power tools and a gun were found at his home.

The 24-year old man was arrested by the Thames Valley Police rural taskforce after the uninsured vehicle he was driving in Appleton, near Abingdon was found to be towing a stolen trailer.

Thames Valley Police officers went to the man’s home address near Hampton Poyle, Kidlington.

There police discovered another trailer, tools, two dogs and a shotgun.

From this one stop the police seized:

- 1 Shotgun

- 2 Trailers

- 1 Transit Van

- 5 power tools suspected stolen

- 2 dogs suspected stolen

- 1 car suspected to be used in crime
