The empty shop units which sit in Oxford city centre looked very different back in 2008.

Many of the units are in a state of disrepair, very different to how they looked in 2008.

Debenhams

The department store on Magdalen Street closed in ealry 2021 after it was announced it would not reopen after lockdown. You can read more about this here>>>

Topshop

Topshop, on Queen Street, also closed in early 2021 after ASOS sealed a takeover deal of the brand. You can read more about the closure here>>>

In 2008, the site was a BHS. 

NatWest

The bank branch on Cornmarket became vacant in 2018 and there were talks to reopen the site as a high-end restaurant, however it remains empty at this time. 

Office Outlet

The Office Outlet on Park End Street closed down in 2019 after the company went into administration. You can read more about that here>>>

Oxford Print Company

The building which used to house Oxford Print Company is currently empty.
