A new Korean restaurant will open its doors to customers in Oxford tomorrow.

Grounded Kitchen on London Road in Headington on will have its first day of business on Wednesday (May 11).

The Oxford branch is the brand’s seventh opening and the restaurant will offer eat-in, take away and delivery service.

Bal Dhillon, who is the franchisee of the Oxford branch, hopes the branch will be popular with the local community.

He said: “We saw the buzz in Leicester about it and we followed the other franchises as they got set up.

“It was a case of choosing the right location and it took a while for us but then when we came across Headington, it was a no brainer.

“The vibe is exactly what Grounded Kitchen is, so it fits.”

He added: “The people we have spoken to around here said ‘we have not got anything like this’.

“We have been handing out bowls as we have been training and the feedback we have been getting is very good.”

The food it will serve is inspired by the flavours of Seoul, with a focus on healthy and balanced meals which stems from Grounded Kitchen’s mantra of ‘Feel Good Food’.

Some of the dishes Grounded Kitchen will serve include made-to-order Nourish Bowls, SsamBaps and Korean Bao.

The Nourish Bowls can be customised so customers create a meal to suit their dietary needs and tastes.

Nourish Bowls consist of fresh vegetables, such as spinach, carrots, beetroot, peppers, avocado, edamame, sweet potato, spring onions, Korean Kimchi and fresh chillies, on a bed of brown or white rice infused with a range of intense and authentic marinades.

There are vegetarian and vegan options which range from spiced mushrooms to potato, tofu or tempeh, while meat and fish eaters can pick sizzling king prawns, angus beef, wild salmon or chicken.

For the first month, Grounded Kitchen Oxford are offering 20 per cent off all collection-only orders when you spend £25 or more online at groundedkitchen.com.

Grounded Kitchen Oxford will be open Sunday to Wednesday 11am to 8.30pm and Thursday to Saturday 11am to 9.30pm.

The restaurant can be found on 108-110 London Road, Headington, Oxford OX3 9AW.
