LEGO has revealed if it will open a store in Oxford, after people living in the city cried out for one.

On April 28, the Oxford Mail asked readers what shops they would like to come to the city, several people said they wanted to see a Disney Store, Build-A-Bear and LEGO Store open branches here in Oxford.

Many people pointed out there are not a lot of shops aimed at young children in the city centre and these additions would be welcomed by parents.

The Oxford Mail reached out to the company to find out if they are planning to open a shop here in the future and if so, when.

A spokesperson for LEGO said: “The LEGO Group is constantly assessing its store portfolio to ensure it’s in the right location to provide the best LEGO experience for shoppers and fans.

“At this time there aren’t any plans to open a store in Oxford.”

“For those in Oxford wanting to visit a LEGO store, the closest one is LEGO Store Milton Keynes.”
