The food it will serve is inspired by the flavours of Seoul, with a focus on healthy and balanced meals which stems from Grounded Kitchen’s mantra of ‘Feel Good Food’

Ralph Llanwarne, Grounded Kitchen’s franchise director, said: “We’re very excited about opening our first store in Oxford.

“We pride ourselves on delivering meals so tasty that people forget that our basic focus is on a healthy balance, and we are delighted that the community of Headington and the broader population of Oxford will now be able to experience our Korean Nourish Bowls at Grounded Kitchen for themselves.”

Some of the dishes Grounded Kitchen will serve include made-to-order Nourish Bowls, SsamBaps and Korean Bao.

The Nourish Bowls can be customised so customers create a meal to suit their dietary needs and tastes.

Nourish Bowls consist of fresh vegetables, such as spinach, carrots, beetroot, peppers, avocado, edamame, sweet potato, spring onions, Korean Kimchi and fresh chillies, on a bed of brown or white rice infused with a range of intense and authentic marinades.

Customers can choose from aromatic Bulgogi or turn up the heat with the spicy Buldak Fire.

There are vegetarian and vegan options which range from spiced mushrooms to potato, tofu or tempeh, while meat and fish eaters can pick sizzling king prawns, angus beef, wild salmon or chicken.

Grounded Kitchen will also offer Quenchers. These drinks include Acai, with strawberries, blueberries, mango and acai, or the Detox Quencher which includes spinach, avocado, lime, basil, apple and spirulina.

All are topped with a mix of desiccated coconut, granola, almonds, strawberries and blueberries.

A spokesperson for the brand said: “This all-new taste sensation will revolutionise how people in the area eat, with its wide range of delicious and nutritious dishes that combine balanced, fresh ingredients with the rich, exciting flavours of Seoul.

“Grounded Kitchen’s passion for Korean-inspired food is bigger than punchy flavours though. It’s about giving you a helping hand towards living a healthier, happier more balanced lifestyle.”
