A MAN has been taking to hospital after a car left the carriageway and overturned on the M40 near Banbury.
The incident, which involved another vehicle, happened at about 8.30am today (02) between junction 11 near Banbury and junction 12 near Gaydon.
The M40 was closed northbound while Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance attended to the man and took him to hospital.

Police were also in attendance investigating the collision and turning traffic away to join the A422 westbound instead, heading to its junction with the B4100.
Traffic stretched out for about two miles and was also causing congestion on surrounding routes through Banbury.
Lanes reopened and traffic started moving again at about 1pm once police investigations were complete.
