The Government and rail industry has slashed the prices of more than one million rail tickets, but how much will people living in Oxford actually save during the sale?

Tickets went on sale on April 19 with discounted tickets available on journeys from 25 April to 27 May.

The first-of-its-kind sale will see tickets cut by up to 50 per cent.

To see how prices compare before during the sale, and if people living in Oxford will actually benefit, the Oxford Mail has compared ticket prices on April 22 (before the sale) and April 29 (during the sale).
