A CRAZY golf course in Oxford has been redesigned including updated holes for a “more mature aesthetic”.
Junkyard Golf Club, in Castle Street, has undergone its first rebrand since the venue first opened in 2017.

The redesign includes new seating, golf holes, an updated drink menu and wall designs. There is also new lighting, music, and hats for customers.
Owners wanted to keep the “bold and playful attitude” of the venue but create a “new concrete and industrial vibe” to make the place more mature.
Seating
The seat has changed from colourful high stools and yellow chairs to black leather booths which are built back-to-back.
Owners had hoped the new look will make the venue appear “slicker”.
Holes
The three courses, Bozo, Gary and Pablo, have stayed the same but some of the holes have been “upgraded”.
One new hole, “My Humps” on the Gary course, includes neon lights and paint whereas a jungle-themed hole on the course, Pablo, includes disco lights.
Wall designs
The decorations on the walls have also changed as owners wanted to change the venue from its “pop-up mentality”.
Instead of disco lights spelling “Bunker”, the walls have been decorated in black and white arrows with the words “Junkyard Golf Club”.
There are also new disco light strips on the ceiling along with some disco balls and neon signs on the walls. Neon flecks and stencilled paint for graphics have replaced the vinyl.
Entrance hall
The pink car is still to the left of the entrance but has been redesigned and the wall has been decorated with pink lettering on a black background to match the vehicle.
Yellow letters have also been added behind the booths and the colourful stools removed to fit the more “grown-up vibe”.

Co-Founder Mat Lake says: “The Junkyard Golf Club courses have matured and grown just as we have as a business.
“Visually they are a lot more impressive, more immersive and more playable, to give guests of Junkyard Golf Club an upgraded experience.
“You can expect to see a major shift in terms of set design on each course, where we have added in some bigger scale production elements (vast real aeroplane installations) as well as upgraded lighting and general theming throughout.
“The vibe will appear more over the top, but much more entertaining and fun-filled to improve the overall experience of playing crazy golf at one of our six venues”
