A man caught sending explicit messages to underage girls will be sentenced next month.

Robert Moor, 36, had been due to be sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Tuesday – just a week after he was remanded in custody by the city’s magistrates and his case sent to the higher court for sentence.

But the man’s advocate, Gareth James, asked Judge Michael Gledhill QC to put the case off for a month so the police could serve further evidence about indecent images found on his client’s digital devices.

He added: “There is no sexual harm prevention order, there is no forensic report of the device setting out the number of images and the offence.”

Remanding him in custody, Judge Gledhill told Moor: “I will order a pre-sentence report. In the circumstances I will adjourn the case until May 19, which gives the probation service enough time to prepare the report.

“I make no promises as to the outcome of the sentence because I don’t know enough about the case.”

Earlier this month, Moor, of The Row, Stanton Harcourt, pleaded guilty to inciting two girls under 13 to engage in sexual activity and making 95 indecent images of category A, 75 category B images and 65 images in category C.
