Hundreds of books fans met local authors at Oxford Indie Book Fair.
There were about 50 exhibitors at the fair at Wesley Memorial Hall in New Inn Hall Street on Saturday. This followed the first event in November,
Exhibitors included independent publishers such as Claret Press, Oxford ebooks, and Chris Andrews.
Cartoonist Korky Paul and other book illustrators were there, together with artists Diana Bell, Weimin He and John Buckley.
Mr Buckley is best known in Oxford for creating the iconic Headington Shark at the home of Bill Heine, the journalist who died in 2019.

He showed off some of his shark photos for the first time.
Author Sylvia Vetta, one of the event organisers, said: "The book fair went very well - after 11am we were busy."
Oxford Indie Book Fair showcases small publishers, independent booksellers, local authors, poets, artists and illustrators.
The website says: “We offer the opportunity for new and established talent to showcase their work at our event in Oxford in 2022.
"It seems to be increasingly difficult for all but the most ‘already-successful’ authors to be accepted by traditional publishers, and/or receive recognition and profile in our mainstream media.

"Indie book fairs are becoming established elsewhere and since Oxford is a major city of arts and letters and renowned for writing and publishing it is not before time that the ever-growing Indie sector is to have its voice.”
