Here we look at some Oxford Mail archive photos from the 1990s.
It was a decade which began with England competing in Italy in 1990 and ended with buses being taken out of Cornmarket in 1999, as the Oxford Transport Strategy was launched.
Love was in the air after blossoming flowers brightened up bus journeys in February 1990.

Free red carnations filled the buses carrying lucky ladies into the city, adding a touch of romance to their day.
And the colourful flowers were handed out to travellers on routes from South Oxford's Redbridge Park and Ride as well as Pear Tree Park and Ride, in North Oxford.
Developers of The Gallery shop complex, in Gloucester Green, thought of the flowery initiative after hoping to spread some joy across the city on Valentine's Day.

They decided to treat female passengers on the buses which displayed their brightly painted advertising logo.
Philip Wakeling of GRE Properties said: "We wanted to brighten up a normal day into something of a romantic occasion.
"By giving away free red carnations to ladies on the bus, we hope we achieved this."
