A man who tried to bite a police officer’s finger on the day of PC Andrew Harper’s funeral was back before the court for breaching his court order.

David Emiku, 23, was given a two year community order earlier this year after he pleaded guilty to showering two officers with racist abuse at Bicester and Oxford railways stations on October 14, 2019, then attempting to bite one of them.

The British Transport Police constables had travelled down from Birmingham in order to provide cover for their Thames Valley Police colleagues who, on the day, were at the funeral of tragic traffic officer PC Harper.

Appearing before Oxford Crown Court this week, Emiku, of Hope Way, Oxford, admitted breaching the community order by failing to comply with the probation service.

He was given an additional 10 hours of community service.
