NICHOLAS PURDIE, 22, of Hampton Gay, near Kidlington, was fined £540 after he pleaded guilty to driving a Nissan Note on Heyford Hill while over the cannabis drug-driving limit. He was banned from driving for a year an ordered to pay £1,054 in costs and surcharge.

MATTHEW COY, 49, of Sommeville, Didcot, pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers on December 7 last year. He was given a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 compensation to each officer and £107 in costs and surcharge.

MARILYN SWEENEY, 27, of Arncott Road, Boarstall, admitted stealing two packs of Cheesestrings, a TV, Red Bull energy drinks and pyjamas from Tesco in Bicester, driving whilst disqualified and without insurance and breaching a suspended sentence imposed at St Albans Crown Court last July for vehicle theft. She was bailed to attend Oxford Crown Court for sentence on April 7.

CHRISTOPHER BALL, 30, of Challenor Close, Abingdon, was found guilty of driving a silver Mercedes whilst disqualified and without insurance. He was also found guilty of failing to stop for a constable on the A34. The magistrates jailed him for 12 weeks, noting he had a ‘flagrant disregard’ for court orders. He must pay £775 in costs, a £128 victim surcharge and was banned from driving for another year.

KAROLIS ANDRIJAUSKAS, 29, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating her on July 14 last year, damaging her property in the same month and breaching an earlier suspended sentence order imposed for four assaults. He was jailed for a total of 21 weeks, with the court register recording that he had chased his victim, his behaviour was ‘controlling and bullying’ and it had had a physical and mental impact on her. The offences were categorised as domestic violence. He was ordered to pay £150 in compensation.

GRZEGORZ STADNICKI, 49, care of Magdalen Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to drunk and disorderly behaviour at Reading railway station, assault and racially aggravated assault. He was given a 12 month community order with 100 hours of unpaid work and up to 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days. He must pay £225 in compensation and £180 in costs and surcharge.

JUSTIN POULTER, 41, of Weald Street, Weald, was fined £120 after he was found guilty in his absence of failing to provide a specimen of urine for analysis. He pleaded guilty to stealing fuel, food and drink from the BP garage at Wolvercote roundabout in August and September 2020. He was banned from driving for a year, must pay £134 in costs and surcharge and pay £66 compensation to BP.

STEPHEN SHERIDAN, 43, of Ross Close, Saffron Walden, applied to discharge a restraining order made in July 2015 on the grounds he was ‘unable to pass a basic DBS check’. The application was dismissed.

ADAM TIDBURY-WILLIS, 29, of Oxford Road, Reading, admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Henley-on-Thames on New Years Eve 2021. He was given a community order with a 12 month alcohol rehabilitation requirement and up to 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days. A restraining order prevents him from contacting his victim of going to an address in Henley for a year. He must pay £150 in compensation.

HENDRICK DELAGRANGE, 39, of West Street, Banbury, pleaded guilty to attempting to steal three speakers from John Lewis in Solihull. He must complete a drug rehabilitation requirement as part of a 12 month community order. Delagrange was ordered to pay £180 in costs and surcharge.

NEIL MCANN, 51, of Morrell Crescent, Littlemore, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Leamington Spa railway station and assaulting two police officers and a woman. He was given a six month alcohol addiction treatment programme as part of a community order and must pay £180 in costs and surcharge.

GARY EMPSON, 40, of Home Close, Wootton, admitted speeding on the A34 near Wytham. He was fined £183, given three points and must pay £119 in costs and surcharge.

SARAH MOONEY, 33, of East Street, Fritwell, pleaded guilty to driving an Audi A4 on the M40 on April 23, 2021, while over the drug driving limit for cocaine derivative benzoylecgonine. A pre-sentence report was ordered and she was bailed to return to the magistrates’ court on April 20 for sentence. She was given an interim driving ban.
