A man allegedly brandished a knife outside a school.
David Rowbottom, 21, is said to have been outside a school in Stanford in the Vale at around 3pm on Friday, March 25, when he pulled the knife from near his ankle and brandished the weapon.
He is accused of making a dragging motion across his throat with the blade before pointing it at a woman.
Oxford magistrates heard there were ‘around 200 children’ coming out of the school in Stanford in the Vale High Street at the time.
Appearing in the dock on Saturday afternoon, Rowbottom, of Station Cottages, Challow, was not asked to enter pleas to charges of possession of a bladed article and common assault.
He was remanded in custody to appear before the magistrates on Monday morning.
