A MUM has appeared in court accused of attempting to murder her former partner.

Shannon Alderman, 20, is said to have stabbed Kieron White ‘approximately six times’ at her home in Padbury Drive, Banbury, in the early hours of Thursday, March 10.

Prosecutor Ann Sawyer-Brandish told Oxford Magistrates’ Court that Mr White remained in hospital.

He is understood to have been stabbed twice in the buttock, once in the chest and received a number of other wounds.

Appearing in the dock in courtroom two on Friday afternoon, Alderman, of Padbury Drive, Banbury, entered no plea to a single allegation of attempted murder.

The mum-of-one, who stood in the dock wearing a grey tracksuit, spoke only to confirm her name, date of birth and address.

The court was told that the allegation of attempted murder was indictable only, meaning it was so serious a plea could only be taken at the crown court.

The magistrates bailed her to appear before Oxford Crown Court on April 14 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

Under the conditions of her bail, she must live and sleep at a property in Portway, Banbury, report daily to the town’s police station and must not contact the alleged victim of the stabbing.
