The OX5 Run is back for its 20th anniversary this year and will be held at Blenheim Palace.

The slogan is 'Run five miles, raise big smiles', as the event raises money to support Oxford Children's Hospital, which looks after thousands of young people.

The run will take place on Sunday, March 20, and runners and teams of all abilities (aged 10 and over) who can run, jog or walk the course are encouraged to take part.

Children from Woodstock CE Primary joined Gemma Cole from Oxford Hospitals Charity and Kate and Rob Allen, from Allen Associates - the event sponsors - to launch the 2022 run.

Ms Cole said: “We are so excited to announce the return of our very special fun run in support of the Oxford Children’s Hospital and to welcome back our sponsors, local recruitment agency Allen Associates, for the 13th year running.”

Entrants can join on their own, or as a team of five or more.

It costs £35 to enter (£17.50 for children aged 10 and under) and the team ask every runner to set a minimum fundraising target of £200 to support young patients.

The OX5 didn't let the pandemic get in the way in 2020 and 2021, their virtual event raising over £100,000 for the hospital.
