A man from Oxfordshire has been fined by a court in Birmingham for driving a vehicle without the correct insurance.

Mateau Radu, of Worthing Way in Wantage, appeared at Birmingham And Solihull Magistrates' Court on February 28.

The court found that on September 15 last year Radu drove a Volkswagen vehicle at 9.27pm on Bristol Road in Birmingham without the correct insurance.

Court documents stated Radu used the vehicle ‘when there was no insurance in force covering that use of the vehicle’.

The 31-year old was fined £660, made to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and costs of £95.

His driving licence was also endorsed with eight penalty points.
