AN MP has called for the Government to "do better" and named 35 of Putin’s cronies who should be sanctioned.
Layla Moran, MP for Abingdon and Oxford West used her parliamentary privilege on Wednesday to urge the Government to "step up" and impose tougher sanctions.
Boris Johnson is hitting Russia with the “largest and most severe” package of sanctions it has ever faced to punish “blood-stained aggressor” Vladimir Putin for invading Ukraine.

The Prime Minister extended punitive measures on Thursday to hit five further oligarchs, including the Russian President’s former son-in-law, and to tackle more than 100 businesses and individuals.
Five further oligarch allies of Vladimir Putin will be targeted, banks assets will be frozen and Aeroflot banned from landing planes in the UK. However, Ms Moran believes more can be done.
The MP said: "This week I used Parliamentary privilege to name 35 of Putin’s cronies who were on the Navalny list and should be sanctioned. After today’s new sanctions we’ve now sanctioned 2/35…Must. Do. Better."
The Prime Minister says that he will bring forward a register of beneficial ownership in the new parliamentary session - why wait?

I've tabled the bill, with cross-party supporters. All the Government need to do is give it time in the Chamber and support it NOW! https://t.co/mLe98MZthS
