AN AWARD-WINNING children's book illustrator will be making an appearance at a book shop for World Book Day’s 25th anniversary.

Allen Fatimaharan will be in Mostly Books in Abingdon on Tuesday creating beautiful illustrations live on the bookshop window.

Mr Fatimaharan is an award-winning illustrator, his first book ‘Llama Out Loud’ by Annabelle Sami won the inaugural Spark Book Award and was shortlisted for the Waterstone’s Children’s Book Prize.

World Book Day is a charity which works with a series of partners including the National Literacy Trust and BookTrust throughout the year to improve access to reading for children, and works with schools to conduct research and provide resources to teachers. This year, 15 million children in the UK and Ireland are to receive the £1 book token.

Fans can see the illustrator's work on Tuesday between 1-3pm.
