A MAN was held at knifepoint in an alleyway in Oxford.

The incident happened on Wednesday at around 11.30pm between the Golden Ball pub and Giles Road in Littlemore.

A man in his thirties was threatened at knifepoint by a man who demanded him to hand over £20.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his late teens or early twenties, dressed in black and spoke with a local accent.

PC Fritha Harvey, based at Oxford police station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses of this incident or anyone with CCTV footage along Giles Road in the direction of St Nicholas Road to get in touch.

“There was no altercation and the incident lasted less than a minute.
