Glass Animals up for two gongs at BRIT Awards tonight

OXFORD band Glass Animals are up for two gongs at this year’s BRIT Awards.

The group are one of 15 acts in the running for song of the year with their smash hit, Heat Waves.

Other acts on the shortlist for song of the year include Adele (Easy On Me) and Ed Sheeran (Bad Habits).

Glass Animals are also nominated for the best rock/alternative act, alongside Coldplay, Sam Fender, Tom Grennan and Wolf Alice.

The live award ceremony is returning to London’s O2 Arena tonight.

Comedian Mo Gilligan will host the ceremony, replacing Jack Whitehall who has helmed the event in recent years.

The most nominated stars are Adele, Ed Sheeran, Little Simz and Dave, who are each up for four gongs.

The BRIT Awards is live on ITV from 8pm.
